The Complete Whole Grains Cookbook - Full of Fiber

    complete whole grains cookbook

The Delicious Life Cookbook-A-Day Giveaway no. 4

Leave a comment on this post to win a copy of The Complete Whole Grains Cookbook, a pretty fantastic book for anyone who wants to incorporate the health benefits of whole grains -- and it's not just fiber -- into his or her diet. Don't worry, I copied down all the recipes from the book that I want to keep for myself and try all summer long. You know, since my Birthday Month is actually the 30-day celebratory kickoff of the annual Summer of Sarah.

You have until about oh, Friday afternoon, June 6, or maybe later if I take a three martini lunch.

And you have better odds for this one, since traffic dies down a little on Thursday and Friday.

Incidentally, I am still giving books away on the weekend too, even though there's about as much traffic on Saturday and Sunday as there is on any freeway heading into downtown LA on a Sunday at 6 am.

I'm beginning to get discouraged. But my digestive tract would surely benefit from this. And I could probably make the recipes less healthy, right? Bacon fat, anyone?

Perhaps someone should send a copy to Dick Cheney to help with that perpetual look of constipation. The prefix of the title should be "Smooth Move" because nothing is as overrated as sex and as underrated as a good crap.

let's go for back-to-back winners named Maggie! (I think it's still "afternoon" out there on the west coast... also do I get pity points for just getting back from a happy hour that NO one came to? nothing better than drinking alone.)

Does a Martini count as a whole-grain food? (Vodka and gin are mostly made with grain spirits.)

      Cheers!

sarah carrico: discouraged after only 3 days?! buck up, little camper! there are 30 days in June, which means 30 cookbooks, and the way it's looking right now, since there are about 35 to 40 regular "players," you're going to win some day!

shelby: it sure is. it would be a keeper if not for my commitment to the giveaway

jim: hopefully the random integer generator picks 3 for you!

cedar: and lots more good books to come

jnowicki: ok, no matter what your true tone was, your comment just made me laugh.

franmag: ha! healthy, but still delicious (just got to accept that the oxymoron can exist)

ashley: my favorite right now is brown rice (i am easing into the whole, um, whole grains thing)

      maggie: that could be possible!

sassysquirrel: there are recipes for whole grain desserts, too

      dessertobsessed: it's a secret ;)

erin: it's all up to the tiny man behind the blog curtain...

      doowite: NEVER COOKED?!?!

liz: the post announcing the winner will have some recipes, so you don't even need the book :)

      john s: you're a lost cause, hon.

stuntman: quinoa, brown rice, and buckwheat...

cocoa-licious: and the complete whole grains cookbook is about the biggest prize there is.
