Around the World in 80 Dinners and Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper - The Delicious Life Summer Reading List Starts This Weekend

shark's fin and sichuan pepper, around the world in 80 Dinners

    The Delicious Life Cookbook-a-Day Giveaway
    Summer Weekend Reading Edition

Abridged Version: Leave a comment on this post to possibly win either Around the World in 80 Dinners or Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper. Both books are globally gastronomic travel memoirs, something in the family of Anthony Bourdain, but with fewer four-letter words.

As always, the content of your comment, no matter how much you stroke my delicious ego, in no way improves your chances of winning; it only matters that you do comment. However, if you're so inclined, let's share to where you'd like to travel next so we can get to know each other. You first.

You have, oh, until the sun goes down, to put in your free bid, but remember, the sun never goes down on the Delicious Empire, so who knows what that really means.

Unabridged Version: Remember your High School Summer Reading List?

    I sure as hell don't.

Do you know how long ago high school was for me?!?! Oh god, wait. Let's not do the reverse mathletics to figure that one out, mmm'k?

    Oh, the Summer Reading List.

Before the end of this school year, teachers from your next school year pass along a list of books to with the introduction that this is a "suggested" reading list to prepare your for AP Remedial Reading. In no way are you required to read the books, but there will be a quiz, essay test, or paper due in the first week based on the books. Because these books are only "suggested," you know. "Not required."

My best trip was my month bouncing around Spain drinking wine and sherry and eating lots o' tapas.

My next trip has got to be Vienna solely for pastries, with a side trip to Hungary.

I'm headed to Taipei, which is plenty awesome enough. But a friend just posted photos from Amalfi, and they are so gorgeous I may have to alter future plans to fit!
