I can't think of anything else but chicken soup right now because I have a cold.
And because the Chicken Tortilla Soup at Gloria's Cafe was one of the most beautiful chicken soups I've ever seen.
Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole
Pupusas $9
Loroco (cheese and herbs) and Frijoles y Queso
Curtido
Cabbage slaw that accompanies pupusas. Basically, Salvadorean kimchi.
Fish Tacos $6 a la carte
Carne Adobada $12
Carnitas in adobada sauce, with tortillas, beans, and rice. Le Ben ordered this the first time we went. He has not ordered anything else since.
Mexican Tamales $4
Ortega chile and cheese tamale with tomatillo salsa, chicken tamale

I love Gloria's! It's a really cute place with nice atmosphere and Gloria is such a sweet lady, always chatting with customers. Their seafood soup is also excellent.

Your photos are so delicious looking! I love anything Tex-Mex or Latin! I just ate at one of the best
places to eat in New York and had some incredible pupusas and tamales! They also made guacamole tableside. It was so much fun and your post reminded me of that. I hear that the Latin cuisine is superior in Cali - is it true?
