Nice pic. I'm bummed they stopped serving the "Beer Garden" menu with items like duk boki and kimbap. In fact they stopped on the day I went there to blog about that menu =(. It's still a great place and the happy hour scene is lively. The pork sliders are very good, as are their saam dishes.
Daniel: I wasn't even aware that Gyenari ever served that! It was my first time actually eating the food there, and even today, I only had a bite of the Ginger Chicken (is that even Korean?) and some of the jahp-chae. The galbee jjim looked solid, but I didn't have time to try it!
Before today, I had only gone for drinks at the bar. I may go back one day to try a real meal, but in the case that I want kFood, likely rather go to k-town...?
Craig: "jap chae" could be correct, too, depending on how you think to pronounce "jap." Putting the "h" in there "jahp" makes it look like you should say it so it rhymes with "mop," not "map."
I really liked the jahp chae at Gyenari. Everyone else at the dinner said it was too sweet, which, now that I think about it, is probably why I liked it so much!

The menu at the Korean restaurant I worked at called it "Jap Chae." Darn those foreign made menus.

This is one of my most favorite foods in the whole wide world.
