What a beautiful picture!!! Where do I get myself some of that amazing nori komi furikake?
Sarah J. Gim says
Sonja: thanks! took that at my sister's house...
There are lots of brands and "flavors" at Japanese grocery stores (Nijiya on Sawtelle, Mitsuwa at Centinela/Venice). Amazingly, I also found it on Amazon: nori komi furikake. I'm willing to bet that a regular grocery store will have it in their ethnic aisle (though probably more expensive).

i like soba but it's a very austere noodle. it lacks the starchy obesity that i like in noodles. but it's aigght. you know girl i eats it.

I love it cold, dipped in sauce with lots of fresh grated daikon radish.

Jessbeanie: The shabu was good, and thank goodness since that is what I had to end up eating. I would have had more of the DELICIOUS soba if not for a tiny, ferocious soba monster...
yuttiness: All you have to do is toss that soba with a little alfredo sauce and bacon
Kevin H: mori soba style! when I was little, I always hated having to eat soba that way. First of all, I was beyond embarrassed that we didn't have "normal" spaghetti like the other kids (we were in the midwest), and secondly, that we were eating it cold. I don't know how I ever managed to mentally survive eating Korean naeng myun
