Actually, nowhere near famous at all, and I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything to anyone except for silly little me, but it’s fun to pretend that I’m being interviewed for Time magazine. Or at least InStyle. Hey, I’d even do Cosmo. :)
It’s WestLAOnline, a website dedicated specifically to West Los Angeles. Since many of my restaurant adventures are in and around West LA, they give me a nod every once in a while, and apparently Jim Bursch must have thought it would be interesting to interview me as well. I was absolutely tickled when he asked me a few weeks ago. Little did he know how his first round of seemingly innocent questions would unravel into..."Does the term oral fixation mean anything to you?” LOL!
I guess he was too nice to interview me and then trash the whole thing, so all of my deep, thoughtful answers are here.
Thanks, Jim!

Hi Sarah,
Congratulations! Is this your first write up? If so, it will definitely not be your last. You've got a way with words and I've enjoyed your writing, as well as your photos and stories. Keep up the good work!

Hi Sarah,
Congrats on your interview. I think you are a lot more well known than you think.
And I think most readers like myself appreciate you for what you are.
Just curious, in the picture "what are you eating?" It looks like tasty beef something. It makes me hungry for steak. I have a few "Imari Beef" steaks in the freezer and maybe I'll eat one tonight. By the way, "being in Japan I've had authentic Kobe beef and Imari beef is much better." I might be partial to Imari though since that's my wife's hometown.
Cheers,
Spotee50

awww, thanks for the sweet words, guys! you make me *blush* it sort of made my week when jim asked me, given the kind of month i have been having. :)
jennifer: good thing you didn't see the photos before i cropped them. you know, i only like to show my good side. lol!
reid: wow , that means a lot to me coming from you! thank you!
spotee: well, there's an ocean of food blogs out there, so i always assume that i'm the only one reading myself, which is why sometimes the four letters come spewing out, and i have to go back and edit, reminding myself that my MOM might read it. LOL!
the beef is actually a piece of all-American steak, being eaten with a pair of chopsticks! strangely fitting for someone like me...
